Awa Odori, The Delights of Germany, Lion Dance and Dragon Dance of Taiwan (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #043)

Today, we launched the first LP Meeting for the academic year 2014. Unlike most of the previous presentations, we had four presenters this time. First, Tomoka Nakanishi gave us a rendition, complete with a demonstration from her, on the art of dancing the Awa Odori, a famous summer dance of the neighboring Tokushima Prefecture. Next, we had Julia Trautmann and Nico Doerr showing the delights of Germany, touching on food and beautiful sceneries. Finally, Wei Jing Huang entertained the audience, focusing on the Lion Dance and Dragon Dance of Taiwan. There were a total of 34 attendees today, of which, 7 are international students.
